AMR Sentinel Surveillance

AMROX: Antimicrobial Resistance Sentinel Dashboard

AMROX is a specialised educational iOS application designed for medical students, clinicians and researchers to navigate, search, and monitor complex antimicrobial resistance (AMR) profiles on the go.

1. How the Data is Generated

To optimise performance and manage infrastructure costs, all raw data processing is performed on our secure back-end platform:

  • LLM-Driven Extraction: Server-side Gemini models ingest and analyse reports from WHO, CDC, ECDC, UKHSA, and peer-reviewed medical literature to extract structured epidemiological intelligence.
  • Literature Mining: Continuously reviews newly published PubMed research to identify emerging geographic risk zones, outbreak clusters, and pathogen hotspots as new evidence becomes available.
  • Centralised Data Synchronisation: Epidemiological reports, genomic resistance data, fitness determinants, and phenotypic intelligence are curated and maintained on our central platform. Updates are deployed centrally and made available across all AMROX clients, ensuring consistent access to the latest validated information.

2. What AMROX Displays

The AMROX iOS app does not perform live synchronisation on your device. Instead, it serves as a streamlined, high-performance portal that provides direct access to the latest verified data published from our central platform.

  • Pathogen Profiles: Access curated surveillance intelligence for high-priority antimicrobial resistance threats. Pathogens included in the WHO Priority Pathogens List are clearly identified with a green checkmark for rapid recognition.
  • Genomic Resistance Intelligence: Explore effective antibiotics, resistance genes, plasmids, chromosomal resistance determinants, fitness factors, and resistance phenotypes within a unified molecular surveillance framework.
  • Verified Surveillance Dataset: Access centrally maintained epidemiological reports, genomic resistance intelligence, fitness determinants, and phenotypic data that are continuously updated and distributed across the AMROX ecosystem to provide a consistent and reliable view of emerging antimicrobial resistance threats.

🌐 Public Web Applet Notice

Note to Visitors: This public web preview provides a static demonstration of the epidemiological dataset available within AMROX. The full AMROX iOS application connects to centrally managed data sources and can access the latest epidemiological updates as they become available. Data management and updates are performed centrally on the backend and are automatically synchronised across the AMROX platform.

Intensity values displayed within the applet represent AI-generated hotspot activity scores derived from grounded searches of publicly available evidence relating to each pathogen and location. Expressed on a normalised 0–100% scale, higher Intensity values indicate stronger relative evidence of localised pathogen activity within the applet's dataset. Intensity is intended solely as a comparative visualisation metric and should not be interpreted as actual disease incidence, prevalence, transmission probability, attack rate, outbreak size, or a clinically validated epidemiological prediction.
